Can you share about the work that you do?

I place property and casualty insurance for commercial businesses and am a broker for CRC Insurance Services, Inc. in Boca Raton, Florida.

What brought you to My Space?

I had been working remotely since the COVID-19 pandemic while living in Orlando with my wife, but we decided to make a move back to Panama City to be closer to family. I worked out of our home for a period of time, but then I heard about My Space and thought it could be a good fit for me. It has been—it’s been awesome.

How are you most productive at My Space?

My Space allows me to have a dedicated, professional space away from home, giving me a nice separation between my business and my personal life. Likewise, it provides an alternative to the traditional company office setting. What I have learned about myself working remotely is that I really enjoy it and that I am most productive while working alone and away from the distractions of a typical office. My coworkers and team are just a phone call away. It works.

What are you really into right now?

My wife and I are expecting our first child in January, so there will be a lot of preparations and emotions going into that! In addition to that, I love to BBQ, golf, fish, and be on the water with family and friends at Shell Island.

What are you hoping to accomplish or try this year?

I would like to work on my organizational skills—in large part to prepare for our new baby. Work/life balance will become more important after the baby comes and being organized will help with that.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I am a huge football fan—both college and professional—and can be found armchair quarterbacking (!) throughout football season following my beloved Troy University (I played there), Florida State, and New Orleans Saints teams. I also love to cook and BBQ—my specialty is smoking ribs and brisket.

What’s your favorite part about living in Panama City? Any favorite local businesses?

The best part of Panama City is the water! When living in land-locked Orlando, we missed it terribly. Two favorite spots to go to in PC are Hunt’s Oyster Bar and Tarpon Dock Seafood Market for fresh-caught Gulf seafood.

If you could add one more thing to My Space, what would it be?

Nothing. Until moving back to PC, I didn’t know about coworking spaces. With more and more companies allowing remote employment a shared office is the perfect place for someone who works remotely but wants separation from home life. My Space does an excellent job this—it gives me a professional, productive office space that I can work from—in my flip-flops, shorts, and golf polo….it is Florida after all!
