Something for Everyone: Keeping Our Coworking Customers Happy

Every day at My Space Downtown, we are reminded that coworking is all about flexibility. The reality is that no two people who walk in the door have the same needs. To satisfy those diverse needs, we’ve adopted lots of coworking options.

For us, it’s working! Our customers appreciate the flexibility we offer. But the shared workspace industry has had some growing pains because they have followed a different model. They’ve been dictating terms to coworkers and losing customers.

Our break room at My Space Downtown has floor-to-ceiling windows and lots of space.

Perhaps you’ve read about some of the coworking spaces that have failed. Ironically, they were too “corporate,” requiring coworkers to sign long leases and then placing them in very regimented and corporate-looking environments—cube farms or the equivalent. That’s ironic to us, because these other coworking sites were mimicking the inflexible onsite work settings that coworkers were fleeing. No wonder they tanked.

That’s not the case for us! Our customers love us because we shape the space around them to respond to what they want. Some examples:

Flexible lease terms

Many larger coworking spaces had huge lease obligations, requiring long-term and expensive coworking space rental terms. Not us. At My Space Downtown, you can buy a day pass at the door, with access to a beautiful, non-corporate work environment, wi-fi, windows, printers, free parking, notary services, a free shredder, a kitchen and other amenities. Even if you want to work multiple days a month, you have flexibility in picking the days while getting a discount from the daily rate.

Flexible space options

Every coworker is different, and their space needs differ, too. That’s why we offer shared workspaces, but also dedicated desks, private offices (with locking doors and 24/7 access) and conference rooms. We will even rent out our large open area for events and throw in a projector, screen and speaker systems. You pick the space that meets your needs.

Locked mailboxes if you need a work address

Many of our customers tell us they want a work address separate from their home address. Sometimes this is for privacy reasons. Other times workers think a downtown address fits better with their business image. If you need an office address to avoid home delivery, you can rent a locked mailbox with our business address. Packages are securely stored and can be left after hours.

A fun neighborhood, right out the door

Many workers come to us because we’re located in the heart of downtown Panama City, where within blocks you’ll find fun restaurants, art galleries, shopping, workout gyms and the Gulf beach. They’re tired of working in remote corporate settings…or even the confines of their home…and want access to more than a strip mall. They want to connect with a different environment.

Our key to success and longevity in the coworking market is to give our customers a unique setting and lots of options. Don’t just take our word for it, though. Check out our customer reviews on our website or Google.
